FAYE MELLISH - LIFE MEMBER

At today's AGM (November 4 2021), our members unanimously voted to bestow Life Membership to Faye Mellish.

Faye joined our Club on July 14 1997, 24 years ago and has served on Committee for 20 consecutive years of those 24 !!  Faye also received her 20 year service badge today.

Faye started out on our Social Committee, as many new bowlers did when they started their bowling careers in those days.  After 1 year on Social, Faye moved on to Selection for the next 4 years before stepping up as Chair of Selection for a further 3 years.

Needing a little change in 2009, Faye then took on the role of Vice President, and then was asked to return to Selection as Acting Chair, where she remained for a further 4 years.  Faye then took on the role of Welfare Officer for the following 6 years.

Despite doing all this Committee work, Faye did have time to bowl and in 2002 was the Runner Up in the Minor Singles.  In 2003 Faye skipped her pennant team all the way to winning a Grade 4 flag, then winning her Region and going on to the 2nd round of the State Pennant play-offs.

In 2004 Faye won the Minor Singles.

Well done Faye, you have done your Club proud and your award today is well deserved !!
